MINISTRIES

How we study the Bible

Both campuses offer a graded curriculum for children and youth. The scope and sequence will allow a child to learn the heart of the Bible over the course of their elementary, middle school and teen years. And our adults study the Bible with healthy discussion and interaction. For many, this hour is a favorite time to get close to one another and better understand God’s word in a safe Sunday small group setting.

Youth

Our youth program is geared for students who like an adventure. There are summer campouts, summer camps, and area group activities. While having fun and food are certainly a part of youth ministry, we are also committed to helping teens grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Children

Kids can come to Grace Church on Sunday mornings to have fun, make friends, and learn to follow Jesus and discover his will for their lives.

We are honored to be entrusted with your child and believe that their environment should not only be fun and inviting but also safe and secure. All leadership volunteers have gone through a background check, are trained to provide safe environments, and are passionately committed to helping kids know and follow Jesus.

Gracekids environment looks like this:

  • Nursery (0 to 3 years) Leaders engage infants with singing and simple Bible stories. Toddlers participate in singing, a Bible story, and other activities.

  • Pre-K/Kindergarten Children learn to follow Jesus, pray for each other, learn Bible verses, sing, and participate in fun activities.

  • Elementary (1st-5th grade) Elementary Children are led in worship and teaching that is creative and engaging. Each month Children focus on a different theme that teaches how to follow Jesus and discover his will for their lives. Kids have fun, pray for each other, and make friends.

  • Eureka has an award-winning puppet team led by a team of very gifted and committed leaders.

  • We offer summer Vacation Bible School, Summer Camps (with overnight accommodations and waterslides), and many programs throughout the year.

Community-focused

Both locations have a heart for the community.  In Bloomington, our congregation organized a prayer walk after the tragic events on Riley Drive in 2018.  We offer parenting classes with trained social workers and gifted teachers.  We also support the Baby Fold.
In Eureka, we support our area food pantry and gladly support the ministries of the Heart House. We offer a community Fall Fest for our costumed guests on October 31.  We offer community support for Woodford County elections, an emergency command center for our middle school, and we work with the Woodford County Health Department.
